A little about the role:

Reporting to the CEO, the Operations/General Manager is vital in ensuring smooth operations out of my clients wholesale and distribution operation.

This role will partake in business strategy planning and optimisation of efficiencies within the business.

There are a number of key objectives for this role they are:

Human Resources (Team management)

• Sustaining and updating the Happy HR system
• Conducting office-based portion of the onboarding
• Review and update expiring licenses
• Ensure performance reviews are conducted bi- annually
• Updating employee files
• Driving the culture in the organisation

Business Optimisation

• Analysis of business processes from sales through to dispatch
• Reviewing analytics and finding room for efficiencies and cost improvements
• Oversight and implementation of projects in each business unit
• Dashboard creation for each department focusing on key departmental KPI’s
• Reporting to the CEO and board on a regular basis

General Management and operations

• General Management and oversight of the OHS, QA, Warehousing, Production, HR, Asset Management, Inventory, Purchasing and finance functions within the business
• Project Management and implementation of new software systems and processes
• Conducting the monthly operations meetings
• Daily closing of shop, office, and warehouse
• Oversight of teams in each department
• Ensure internal and external audits on ISO:45001 Occur
• Conducting root cause analysis on incidents with QA Manager
• Maintenance of ISO: 9001 standards
• Oversee customer complaints and product faults
• Oversight of NCR’s and implementation of solutions
• Accountability of warehousing team and driving KPIs
• Asset Management- Booking of servicing of vehicles- Fleet scheduling etc.
• Oversight of production plan
• Accountability of completed Production
• Implementation of innovation for systems and processes

A little about you:

You will have experience working as a General Manager within a warehouse/ wholesale/ and or manufacturing environment.

This role will suit someone who enjoys coming to work and doing something a little bit different every day.

We are looking for an outcome focused leader who also has strong analytical skills and continuous improvement skills.

You will be the kind of person who thrives in autonomy and also working as a part of the larger team. You will be professional, and an exceptional communicator.

Key requirements:

• Strong operational background, with a hands on approach
• Extensive experience / understanding of wholesale / manufacturing and or other
• Skills in the above Human Resources, Business Optimisation and General Management
• Able to take a structured team and develop them even further
• Clear and precise understanding of P&L Management, budgets and control
• ‘Can do’ attitude with a sense of urgency and a level of resilience
