Relocation to Cairns:
A relocation fee will be paid to ensure the move is easy and stress free.

If you are based in Cairns:
You will have a formal interview, then paid workplace trial, then you would be provided an offer.
If you are NOT based in Cairns:
You will have a formal interview, then flown to Cairns for a 2-day paid workplace trial then you would be provided an offer. Your happiness is important to my client, and we do want to ensure they are happy to relocate.
About the role:
As the Dental Ceramist you are responsible for creating high-quality dental prosthetics and restorations to exacting specifications and standards. Working closely with dental technicians, dentists, and other dental professionals, the Ceramist is a crucial part of the dental laboratory team, ensuring the final product meets or exceeds patient expectations and functional requirements.
More specifically, you will:
- To ensure that the highest standard of Dental care is provided to members of the public at all times.
- To respect confidentiality and privacy of practitioners, directors, staff and patients at all times.
- To maintain a cooperative team environment by communicating openly and in a friendly manner, working efficiently and amicably with all members of the business.
- Veneering Lithium Disilicate, Zirconia and Metal frameworks with dental ceramic
- Stain and glaze of monolithic Lithium Disilicate and Zirconia restorations
- Modify frameworks and prepare for build up with dental ceramic, or stain and glaze technique
- Diagnostic wax up’s
About you:
As the Dental Ceramist you will play a vital role in ensuring the functionality and aesthetics of dental prosthetics, enhancing patients quality of life and self-confidence. This position demands a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and collaboration with other dental professionals to provide the best possible outcomes for patients.
You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with your team is essential if you are to be successful in this role.
You are someone who can is accountable who has the ability to manage your own workflow to ensure job turnaround in the timeframes allotted.
Key requirements:
- At least 3+ years experience
- Ability to interpret patients’ photos, communicate colour, shapes, characteristics and create restoration accordingly
- Proficiency in shaping and finishing ceramic restorations, color matching, and understanding of dental anatomy
- Detailed knowledge about anatomy and tooth morphology
- Experienced with dental ceramic layering and staining techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential for precision in ceramic work
- Attention to detail, dexterity and accountability
- Team player
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills to discuss cases with clients, or patients
- Excellent listening skills to fully understand the clients and patients needs and vision
- Ability to generate ideas for business improvement
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Excellent planning, organisation and computer skills
