This national outdoor / out-of-home advertising company, is setting a new standard when it comes to working with clients on their outdoor advertising strategy to create a connection that continuously delivers their message to the right audience.

They have tons of experience, and are seeking someone with a consultative solution based approach who has strong experience selling advertising / marketing / digital / newspapers / outdoor / out-of-home / advertising industry.

About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be working as part of a dynamic sales team that is responsible for the growth and development of new business as well as continuing to build existing client revenue with outdoor advertising solutions that meet client’s needs/budget.

You get tons of warm leads as well as a patch of clients!

The OTE is easily achieved with medium performers in the company earning more than $180K!

General Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Strong client relationship and people management skills, with the proven ability to develop trust and credibility
  • Common Office packages with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office, and company CRM (zoho)
  • Work closely with management team to deliver sales targets and revenue
  • Presenting company products and services to clients at all levels but most importantly, the decision maker
  • Ensuring that all activity levels required to deliver performance indicators are met
  • Preparing client proposals
  • Follow up with client issues as they arise

About you:

You will bring with you a high degree of competency across all phases of the new business and new client development cycle. Based on your past experiences you will have a demonstrated ability to gain meetings, present in a consultative way and to close and meet sales targets. You will possess outstanding influencing skills, client facing skills, while also having strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key requirements

  • 1 – 3+ new business years experience selling advertising / marketing / newspapers / digital / outdoor / out-of-home / advertising industry
  • Has experience in building relationships with potential clients via cold calls, networking and other avenues (warm leads are also provided)
  • Has ability to up and cross sell to new and existing clients
  • Has developed sales channels within desired client segments
  • Experience in developing new sales strategies and plans to gain business
  • A good understanding of marketing basics
  • Confident negotiation skills
  • Capable of preparing client proposals to a professional standard
  • Proven ability to analyse processes and ensure continuous improvement
  • Systematic approach to sales processes and business development
  • Excellent interpersonal/telephone skills and intuition
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Persistent approach to time management
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy and resourcefulness
  • Excellent planning, organisation and computer skills
  • High degree of accountability and attention to detail
