About the role:
This is a genuine equity opportunity to join a boutique accounting firm located in Melbourne as an Business Services / Client Manager. The firm is currently experiencing significant growth. Reporting to the Partner you will be responsible for consultancy work, tax planning, business advisory, profit maximisation. You will have genuine skills in leading a team. You will have the ability to work consultatively with clients with knowing their business and how the firms services can add value to their operations.
More specifically, you will:
- Maintain professional development requirements
- Contribution towards the creation of efficient processes within the organisation
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and promoting of the firm’s holistic service range
- Providing advisory services to your client base
- Providing technical mentoring for junior staff across both financial and taxation issues
- Ensuring you identify key tax issues and provide effective solutions on the same
- Minimal supervision would be required and it would be expected that most of the
compliance would be completed with a low number of review points - You will be expected to be a self-starter, proactive and be able to manage working to a timetable on your own.
About you:
We are looking for a leader and someone who has strong client facing skills. You will be a Client Manager that has a bachelor of accounting with a CA/ CPA. You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with your team and clients is essential if you are to be successful in this role.
You are someone who can is accountable to ensure they are meeting your KPI’s such as productivity and accuracy.
You will have a strong ability to manage your own workflow to ensure job turnaround in the timeframes allotted.
You will have the ability to motivate your team and grow their capabilities.
Key requirements:
- Complete responsibility for the teams preparation of statutory financial statements and income tax returns, include reviewing and finalising the same for previous employers
- Proven client facing skills
- Degree qualified
- CA or CPA qualified
- Adequate amount of supervisory, leadership and technical experience to successfully
undertake the role - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
- High level of competency and confidence in presenting to clients and other stakeholders
- A very strong technical knowledge of tax/business services compliance
- Demonstrable experience and skills in effectively leading and managing a team to a
achieve and exceed KPI’s - Strong experience preparing financial statements in Xero and also using Xero Tax Manager
