About the role:

The primary focus of this role is Business Development through direct channels and partner engagement.

You will build relationships with prospects and existing contacts to grow a strong sales pipeline to then win opportunities for professional services projects.

With partners such as Microsoft and direct through your existing/new networks and contacts, you will be developing new business by generating and actioning leads, creating opportunities and successfully closing sales.

You will be supported by pre-sales and our Practice Managers.

You will sell across all various practices in you set sales region and will be assigned seasonal targets for each practice.

General Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Strong client relationship and people management skills, with the proven ability to develop trust and credibility.
  • Common Office packages with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office, and company CRM.
  • Work closely with management team to deliver sales targets and revenue.
  • Presenting company products and services to clients at all levels but most importantly, the decision maker.
  • Ensuring that all activity levels required to deliver performance indicators are met.
  • Preparing client proposals to required standards.
  • Follow up with client issues as they arise.

About you:

You will bring with you a high degree of competency across all phases of the new business and new client development cycle.

Based on your past experience, you will have 2-3+ years experience in Microsoft professional services, in a Business Development role that aligns to one or more of my clients practices being, Modern Work, App Dev or Data & AI etc.

You will have a previous experience in the ability to work with partners to gain meetings, present in a consultative way and to close and meet sales targets.

You will possess outstanding influencing skills, client facing skills, while also having strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key requirements

  • Proven market knowledge and an existing customer base/relationships with IT & business decision makers.
  • Has strong client relationship and people management skills with the ability to influence sales both over the phone and face to face.
  • 2-3+ years experience in Microsoft professional services Business Development that aligns to one or more of my clients practices, Modern Work, App Dev or Data & AI etc.
  • Track record of meeting business development targets within desired client segments.
  • A proven process for business development and account management to manage a customer from lead to sale.
  • Adequate technical acumen to understand a non-technical problem and link a technical solution to that problem, based on the solutions we provide.
  • Strong relationship building and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, often without direction or with an unclear problem statement.
  • Experience in developing new sales strategies and plans.
  • Ability to generate ideas for business improvement.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Persistent approach to time management.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and computer skills.
  • High degree of accountability and attention to detail
  • Flexible and open to change with a willingness to learn and grow
