About the role:
This is an exciting role.
In this role, you will be maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
You will lead and manage the HR team and effectively partner with, and support, the business to enable the achievement of business operational goals through a people first approach and taking a leading role in the provision of best practice people & culture services, systems and support across the key areas of:
- Provide a healthy & safe workplace for the wellbeing of everybody, everyday through Safety, Wellbeing & Injury Mgmt strategies focusing on People, Plant & Processes. Culture Shift From WH&S To HS&W!
- Attracting, selecting & retaining people with the right qualities and high-performance mindsets from all walks of life.
- Site resourcing requirements for Skilled, Critical & Labouring roles are maintained within 5% +/- of required manning levels
- Develop great Leaders, Managers & TM’s with high performance mindsets, to ensure a strong Capability/Skill pipeline for current and future business needs.

General Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure that all HR practices are in line with legislation required to ensure compliance and safe operation
- Continuously monitor company HR standards to ensure that best practice is being driven
- Large scale recruitment, on boarding, development and training
- Co-ordinate the pre-employment requirements of the Company program
- Maintain an awareness of the HR policy and procedures
- Sight and review all policies and procedures and changes to the HR manual
- Provide support to HR officers to implement policy, program and changes
- Review and respond to HR audits
- Ensure all HR records are adequately maintained, filed are archived
- Employee manning, retention and turnover
- Alignment of positions to overall strategic plan
- Performance reviews
- Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
About you:
You will be a HR professional who has the ability to meet all requirements relating to HR management, industrial and employment law, company policy with specific focus on recruitment, transactional HR services, performance management and information management, WH&S, training etc.
You will have a knowledge and exposure to change management strategies including experience in managing large scale human resources or change management initiatives.
You will be a genuine person who has a passion for best practice HR and people development.
You will be able to communicate at all levels and impart knowledge to a wide section of key stakeholders.
You have the skills to implement and maintain a program for recruitment of specialised employees.
Skills and key competencies to be demonstrated by this position include:

- Applicable years of large scale HR with FMCG / manufacturing industry experience being preferred

- Strong knowledge and exposure to change management strategies including experience in managing large scale human resources or change management initiatives
- Proven ability to work at a strategic and general/operational level
- Solid relationship and interpersonal management skills

- Effective at hiring and developing recruitment strategies
- Effective at employee communication processes
